Weekly Yoga at the Inn - Virginia Cliffe Inn

  • About: We will be having weekly outdoor yoga led by Laura Jones from Guiding Tree Yoga. Please bring a yoga mat or towel/blanket and a water bottle. We also encourage you to arrive a few minutes early to get settled. This is an ALL Levels yoga class. Accessible to the public. There are plenty of spots on the lawn but in the event of inclement weather, the practice will move indoors where spots will become limited and will be honored on a first come first serve basis.


Friday Cheers - Brown's Island

Church Hill Spring Fest and Market - Libby Hill Park

  • About: Join us for the first annual Church Hill Spring Fest and Market on Saturday, May 13 from 12-5pm. This family-friendly, outdoor event will have local vendors and area nonprofits as well as live music and food trucks as we celebrate everything that makes Church Hill great. Come see what our neighborhood has to offer while enjoying the day at beautiful Libby Hill Park! This event is hosted by the Church Hill Association of RVA, a nonprofit dedicated to lifting up those who lift up others in the Church Hill neighborhood. Learn more about the CHA on our website and consider participating in the event as a vendor, nonprofit or sponsor!


4th Friday Art Shows - Art Works

  • Location: Art Works

  • Address: 320 Hull Street

  • About: In May Art Works is featuring four artists—all painters yet all vastly different in their approach and techniques. John Wagoner redefines painting that transitions into sculpture. Glenda Creamer layers marks like constellations creating an illusion of depth. Michael Greiner is the quintessential figure and portrait painter. Lisa Kidd Flinn brings us abstract compositions of bold color. And as always, we host the monthly All Media Show featuring Virginia artists. Join us on May 26th from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. for the opening reception. Meet the artists and enjoy live music, refreshments and libations sponsored by RVA Thriving Artists. Parking is free. The exhibits continue through June 17th. The event is free and open to the public.


Live Outdoor Concert Series - Main Street Station

  • About: Free after-work, outdoor concert each Thursday in May at Main Street Station. Hang around with us after work for concerts featuring Jazz, Reggae, R&B, and Motown, starting May 4 with Legacy Band.
