Armenian Food Festival @ St. James Armenian Church

  • Dates: October 3, 2025 - October 4, 2025

  • Richmond’s oldest and longest-running food festival returns for a family-friendly weekend of Armenian delicacies and culture Oct. 3 and 4. The 65th Annual Armenian Food Festival features food lovingly prepared by members of St. James Armenian Church. Taste chicken shish kabobs, cheese boreg, Armenian meat pies, stuffed grape leaves, mouth-watering pastries, and the famous and original Hye Burger — a longtime favorite on Richmond’s best burger voter lists. The festival also features traditional music and dancing. Armenian beer and wine are available. Admission is free, pay as you go. Everyone is welcome Friday and Saturday. The festival is held at the corner of Pepper and Patterson avenues, at 834 Pepper Avenue.


Garden Glow @ Maymont

  • Dates: Daily from October 15, 2025 - November 9, 2025

  • Time: 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM

  • Location: 2201 Shields Lake Drive, Robins Nature Center

  • Immerse yourself in a mesmerizing world of color and light at Garden Glow presented by Kroger, October 15 – November 9. After dark, experience Maymont transformed by artful lighting into an enchanted world with a dazzling lawn of light, giant glowing peonies and an illuminated flock of birds in flight among the trees. Take a hike down the Woodland Trail and a serene stroll through the Japanese Garden, followed by fun for all ages in the Glow Village with your favorite food trucks and s’mores around cozy fire pits! Maymont’s most popular annual event is open for 23 nights (closed Mondays). Allow at least 90 minutes to explore the entire mile-long trail, and keep the fun glowing in the Glow Village, where you can take a spin on the Glow Swings, strike a colorful pose at the Shadow Wall presented by Juno Financial Group, pick up some light-up swag, or get creative with the Big Bright Mega Light. For a more relaxed experience with fewer crowds—and discounted admission—plan your visit on one of the 13 Value Nights. Or splurge on an extra special experience with exclusive perks and treat your favorite clients, colleagues or friends to Glow Up! on October 16, a benefit night to support Maymont.


Harvest Festival @ Shalom Farms

  • Location: 1311 Westwood Avenue

  • Join us for our annual Harvest Fest celebration on Wednesday, October 29 from 5–8 pm at the Northside Farm! This cozy fall evening is our way of celebrating the season with volunteers, friends, partners, and supporters like you. We’ll gather for a shared, family-style community meal, enjoy fire pits and s’mores, and browse the Mobile Market stocked with fall produce. The evening will feature live music, a raffle, and a chance to honor our incredible volunteers with awards. You’ll also find hot cocoa and cider, farm tours, seasonal crafts, and a scavenger hunt for kids.
