Dominion Energy Center for the Performing Arts

World Wildlife Day @ Maymont

  • On Saturday, March 1, spend a few hours or the whole day at Maymont connecting with wildlife through Animal Keeper talks, animal feedings and enrichment activities, and presentations. Special guests from The Wildlife Center of Virginia and experts from other wildlife organizations will join us for talks, film screenings and hands-on crafts. Peace, Love, and Local Market @ Main Line Brewery

  • Join the Peace, Love & Local Market at Main Line Brewery. Craft beer, Live Music and Artisans selling Handmade Items, Vintage and Vinyl! This is the 6th year hosting at Main Line Brewery. They will bring together amazing local artists and makers selling handmade home décor, art, jewelry, apparel, and more! Family friendly, dogs welcome, outdoor games and an overall great atmosphere to spend your Sunday Funday! #ShopLocal with them!



Bella Ballerina Pop-Up Dance Class @ Children's Museum of Richmond

  • Second Friday of each month at CMoR Downtown in front of the carousel for free pop-up ballet classes for Downtown Museum guests provided by Bella Ballerina. 

    Do you have a little one who loves to jump and twirl?

    Join Bella Ballerina, the area’s premier dance studio for children, for our Moves at the Museum pop-up class! They will start by reading a story, then learn some awesome ballet and jazz dances, and end the class by acting out the story with costumes! This class is perfect for beginners or experienced dancers – anyone who likes to bust a move and learn something new.

    No registration is required. Free with museum admission.


Richmond SPCA Dog Jog, 5k, and Block Party @ Richmond SPCA

  • Join thousands of animal lovers for the 23rd Annual Dog Jog, 5K and Block Party, presented by Holiday Barn Pet Resorts and benefiting the Richmond SPCA! Participate in person or select the “run anywhere” option. RVA’s favorite family- and pet-friendly event is Back!


    Expect a day packed with fun activities for the whole family. The day begins with a chip-timed 5K (3.1 mile) at 10 a.m. for people only, followed by the Little Paws Fun Run for kids ages 4 to 10 at 11 a.m. and then a leisurely 1-mile Dog Jog at 11:30 a.m. before the Block Party, which is free to attend, kicks off at noon. Throughout the morning, the Richmond SPCA will host an outdoor Marketplace at the Robins-Starr Humane Center, featuring live music, beer/wine trucks, pet-friendly crafts and local retailers. Plus, don’t miss out on the Kids’ Fun Zone and Pets’ Fun Zone — it has fun activities for everyone.


    Your participation makes a lifesaving difference to pets in need. All net proceeds aid the Richmond SPCA's efforts to rescue and rehabilitate homeless animals and to deliver crucial programs to pets and the people who love them.
